Additionally, in this Privacy Policy, we provide you detailed information about our collection, use, maintenance, and disclosure of your Personal Information. The Privacy Policy explains what kind of information we collect, when and how we might use your Personal Information, how we protect Personal Information, and your rights regarding your Personal Information.

7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We and our third‑party partners use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect usage data and improve our services. Cookies are small files that a web server sends to your computer or device when you visit a web application that uses cookies to keep track of your activity on that site.  We collect both Necessary Cookies and Functional Cookies.  Necessary cookies ensure website functionality (authentication, security). Functional cookies are used to remember user preferences and site settings. You can manage or disable cookies via your browser settings; however, disabling cookies may affect functionality. 

Our cookies do not, by themselves, contain Personal Information. Further, we do not combine the general information collected through cookies with any other Personal Information to identify you. However, we do use cookies to identify that your web browser has accessed aspects of our website or services and may associate that information with you. 

In addition, we may also collect information using pixel tags, web beacons, clear GIFs, or other similar technologies. This information may be used in connection with website pages and HTML formatted email messages to, among other things, track the actions of users and email recipients and compile statistics about usage and response rates.

8. Do Not Track Disclosure

‍Some web browsers may transmit do not track (“DNT”) signals to websites with which the user communicates. To date, there is no industry standard for DNT and users cannot know how a given company responds to a DNT signal they receive from browsers. However, we do not support DNT browser settings and do not currently participate in any DNT frameworks that would allow us to respond to signals or other mechanisms regarding the collection of your personal information.

9. Use of Artificial Intelligence (“AI”)

We use AI and machine learning to improve and personalize our services. Specifically:

Data Collected & Processed: We process information you provide (e.g., your name, email, uploaded content) and usage data (e.g., pages viewed, clicks).

Purpose: AI powers features such as content recommendations, automated support, and fraud detection.

Third‐Party AI Providers: We may share data with providers like Google, Anthropic, and/or OpenAI under strict privacy controls. 

Automated Decisions: If an AI-based decision significantly affects you, you can request human review by contacting support@doubleblindbio.co

User Rights: You may access, correct, or delete personal data used by our AI at any time. You can also disable AI-driven personalization in your account settings.

10. Data Retention

We retain Personal Information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined above, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize your data in a secure manner. We and our business partners reserve the right to continue using de-identified data indefinitely, even after Personal Information has been removed from our databases.

11. Third Party Sites

Our website may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy(ies) of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to your use of or access to any third-party sites or services.

BY REQUESTING TO LIMIT USE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION OR DELETE PERSONAL INFORMATION, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY CORRESPONDING LIMITATION IN THE SCOPE OF SERVICES OR TERMINATION OF SERVICES AS NECESSARY TO COMPLY WITH YOUR REQUEST.

You further understand that it may not be technologically possible to remove all of your Personal Information from our systems. While we will use reasonable efforts to remove your Personal Information, the need to back up our systems to protect information from inadvertent loss means a copy of your Personal Information may exist in a non-erasable form that will be difficult or impossible for us to locate or remove.

13. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us to request deletion.

WE CANNOT GUARANTEE OR WARRANT THAT SUCH TECHNIQUES WILL PREVENT UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. WE ARE UNABLE TO GUARANTEE THE SECURITY OR INTEGRITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TRANSMITTED OVER THE INTERNET, AND THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION WILL NOT BE ACCESSED, DISCLOSED, ALTERED, OR DESTROYED BY BREACH OF ANY OF OUR PHYSICAL, TECHNICAL, OR ADMINISTRATIVE SAFEGUARDS. ACCORDINGLY, WE DO NOT AND CANNOT ENSURE OR WARRANT THE SECURITY OR INTEGRITY OF ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION YOU TRANSMIT TO US. YOU ASSUME THE RISK THAT UNAUTHORIZED ENTRY OR USE, HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE FAILURE, AND OTHER FACTORS MAY COMPROMISE THE SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AT ANY TIME.

‍You are solely responsible for preventing unauthorized access to your devices by  limiting access to your devices. We have no access to or control over your device’s security settings, and it is your responsibility to implement any device-level security features and protections you feel are appropriate (e.g., password protection, encryption, remote wipe capability). We recommend that you take all appropriate steps to secure any device that you use to access our website, products and services. 

Please note that we will never send you an email requesting confidential information, such as account numbers, usernames, passwords, or Social Security Numbers. If you receive a suspicious email from us, please notify us. Further, if you know of or suspect any unauthorized use or disclosure of your information or any other security concern, please notify us immediately.

We take the security of your Personal Information seriously. In the event of a data or security breach, we will comply with laws and regulations directly applicable to us in connection with such security incident and we will notify you of any data or security breaches as required by and in accordance with applicable law. 

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and it is your responsibility to stay up to date with any amended versions. We will post any changes on our website with a revised “Last updated” date.  Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be effective immediately upon posting a new version of the Privacy Policy and the changes will apply to all Personal Information that we maintain, use, and disclose. Your continued use of our services after those changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.

16. Personal Information Deletion

‍If at any point you no longer agree to the use and disclosure of Personal Information, as described in this Privacy Policy, discontinue all further use of the website, products and services and send a deletion request to support@doubleblindbio.co with the following information: 

• The email address, phone number and/or name you shared with us previously; and
• A statement that you are requesting Personal Information deletion.
